Johnstone typically services each property once per snowstorm, provided scheduling and weather conditions allow. During heavier storms, however, we may complete 2–3 passes to maintain safe and accessible conditions.
Johnstone places signs or stakes at the end of driveways to help our operators identify your property during snowstorms. These markers also indicate grass lines, reducing the risk of lawn damage during service.
We usually begin service once 5 cm (2 inches) of snow has accumulated, unless you’ve requested a custom trigger.
We do our best to return and clear heavy city plow piles during larger storms, but this depends on timing and route schedules. We do ask that you notify us after the plows been by your street.
We offer a limited number of shoveling spots each season. Because availability is restricted and staffing costs are higher, these spots are priced accordingly and may sell out quickly.
